wow! I need to be more involved in this section more often!

First of all, the objective of a good communicative site is not to delete posts. Thank you Eric for manning up on the delete and that means alot to the KF community as a whole. And thank you all on your objective responses.

Maybe pop in from time to time but there really isn't any need to worry about this 250 bunch getting out of hand at all.
Mostly we just share info. In the 3 years since I've signed up it's only the second time that I can recall that a mod "stepped in". The other time "he who shall not be named"* got the boot for sh&$$#@g in lots of threads.

*truth is I can't recall the name right now, maybe later when I'm thinking about something totally unrelated.

ppppppppffffffffffftttttttttt....there was a highway dirtbike thread on adv that had similar connotations. small operation, less than stellar communication, panties in a wad, kind of thread. all the forums have them and there are times when mistakes are made. hopefully they get resolved and we can continue to have small time vendors that make a genuine products right in our backyard for the sport that we love.

Really funny. I was watching an episode of a BBC quiz show called QI (Quite Interesting) last week and they mentioned Godwin's Law. Now I've been apart of a thread that has experienced it. My cherry has been popped

 

In my opinion it can not be treated the same, Bill has worked personally with forum members developing KLX specific products and he is a member here which makes Bill different than other vendors for anything.
Your thread did just that, defamed Bill.
BTW you are speaking to a full blooded German who has had ***** in his family so i can easily run this place like that if you wish. This is one of the most lenient forums we do everything to keep the peace and keep it running like so.
You must not remember correctly on what your response was. It did defame him, it was bashing him and you said you wouldn't never buy anything off of him. Did you give Bill a chance to make it right? Did you bring your issues to him first before complaining about him behind his back? A huge problem with the internet is people like you. One tiny little hiccup because he couldn’t get a carb or it took a few days longer than you thought what is the first thing you do? Jump in the internet and complain about how bad this was or how bad that was. I’m betting 80% hell maybe even 90% of the time someone buys something off of the internet they do not say a thing if they are happy with it, they just live life happily with their product they bought off the internet. But the prospective buyers see a post like yours and think OMG Bill must be terrible his work must be bad I’m never going to buy from him… I know I have only reviewed maybe 6 things I’ve ever got offline, and I buy a lot.
I do apologize for that. When all that happened some other things came up that I had to go deal with (leave the computer) Whether you or other forum members agree with what I did or not, it happened. I have spoken with the other mods about it and It has been discussed along with future possible issues and actions.

I could only imagine how mad you get when you get pulled over for speeding when you think you were not. Chill out.
