I read this whole thread, because I was in a waiting room at at hospital, and I had plenty of time. This is the only post that really bothered me. I don't care that the thread was nuked. And, until I read this, I didn't care why it was nuked.
It looks to me like if a company the mods had never heard of was the subject of the thread in question, it would have been left alone. Classic case of patronage.

Not the direction this site should be taking.

Sad to see.

Hello guys . I understand somebody got wronged and sometimes we decide on things we all regret . What was done cant be undone . How about we just let bygones be bygones and start over and learn from this. This is still a great site right? Of course it is . Peace

Maybe this thread should be deleted so we can move on.

We are hashing out opinions and ideas on one thread, that is fine with me. You have seen what a deletion causes. lol

as pogiboy mentioned, this is a great site, so we will keep it that way.

exactly, so lets not kick a fellow rider in the head too much now.

edit: after rereading, that was not directed at you zombywoof, just put that out there for all in the community.

I do have a question though on the over moderated statement: Do we here in the KF family really think we are ok on the moderation? or are more needed?

This thread has shown that even more inflammatory than speaking unfavorably about a vendor (who also happens to be a forum member) is the act of censoring that unfavorable discussion. It's been valuable in that regard IMO.

One of the best things about this forum is the freedom it offers. Sure there may be some profanity [guilty] or harsh posts, but nothing I've ever considered over the top. By contrast I belong to a survivalist forum and if you sneeze sideways you'll get banned. I got banned for 2-months after I called out a mod for bashing a noob.

I think you are mistaking rules and censorship of a private group for being censored by the government, which is what applies to your "right to exercise free speech". It does not apply to private situations, like work or in a store. You go in WalMart and tell everyone coming in to go to KMart and you're going to have problems. Tell your boss to farg off and you're going to have problems. I think you get the idea.

Your free speech involves governmental censorship, not private censorship.

Just sayin'...
