I see.

If I were to buy a Harley, I would probably go all the way with something in that size category. I still love the look and feel of the Road Kings, but that Electra Glide looks sweet. Come to think of it, I've seenone in a dark green color in a show room here in Japan. That was one sharp bike!

Oh, and EMS, Once you get a little 'longer in the tooth' you might get thoughts of adding something like that to the stable

yes, all the big twins get the same exact engine. harley only manufactures 3 engines for the HD line- period. the 883, 1200, and new 96 cubic inch big twin.

I am a little "longer in the tooth" and a Harley is the last thing I would own, like Eric said each to their own.
No offence intended to Bad Bear or any of the other Harley owners, it sure is shiney Bad Bear and I know you will love it
Cheers

Thanks guys I really like it so far.... I have owned all Metric bikes before and all my buddies have Harleys and now that they are much more reliable and I like the options and how I can make it fit my short *** that is why I picked it... I was going to get a Road King but my wife is way more comfy on this bike for long 400 to 500 mile day rides... I owned a Goldwing its a great bike to but the new ones look more like a space ship than a classic motorcycle......And I have problems reaching the ground on one.... This has a great sound system ,intercom , CB , Nav if you buy it ... and the coolest thing Electronic Cruise Control and 6 speed tranny. And I love the BIG TWIN THUMPING SOUND

Oh wait, there's also the 1130cc and 1250cc liquid cooled Revolution engines that come with the VRSC line, but I've been told that those aren't really Harleys because they're liquid cooled.

You might have been told they aren't Harleys but as an owner I'll tell you this- the V- Rod is the fastest Harley they make. It's smooth(doesn't vibrate), comfortable, and being water-cooled you don't have to worry about the heat out here in AZ. Mine sits in the garage right next to my 07 KLX250.
