Default Muffler Swap?

Anyone know of what other mufflers would fit onto my 2010 klx250s? Looking to maybe get something used off ebay for the time being until I can afford a good setup. Hopefully there might be something that would hook up with no mods. Would one off of the 250 motorcross work?

pretty sure it wouldnt. the kx250f's have a totally different engine and frame. there is a slight possibility of it working, but i highly doubt it. find someone who has a used system off their klx and buy 2nd hand.

Try to find an entire used KLX 300 exhaust system. You'll need both the header and the can as you can't mix and match the 300 and 250 systems. The header is different between the two. The KLX 300 system will perform better and be lighter than the stock exhaust and far less expensive than an aftermarket system.

Be aware that just doing a slip on you might have the same mixing header and pipe issues, I believe some of the slip-on's are spec'd to the KLX 300 setup and will stick a bit far backward and can melt blinkers. Dont recall off-hand if the Q4 is one of them.. even though i have that on my bike (love it btw) but i bought a full system and have a 07' model.

I agree that as a temp a KLX 300 system is likely your cheapest and best route unless you check around and see if somebody is selling theirs off here or maybe ADV Rider. There's been some posts recently of guys selling parts of their exhaust to change or upgrade, if you do a search for recent posts about mufflers you'll find them.
