Default May in New England, time to give blood...

...to these little monsters (black flies).

Lost a pint just trying to get up here.

28 miles, 1 beaver dam, 2 mountain tops, and a boat load of fun. Had to show the boys on ATVs what a bike can do.
The KLX it's like a TIMEX, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Looks good Ben. I noticed in the other forum you signed up for Team8's ride next week. I've done that ride the last 2 years and plan to be there again next week...assuming I can check my valves in time (I'm overdue).

Default Team8 ride

Yeah I'll be there, figured I should meet some folks with similar interest and to learn some new trails.
If you get your valves checked I'll see you there.

The black flies fly as fast as you ride?

Ha ha, I know that!
Recent logging over the trail pretty much turned the hill into a giant mud track. Started the hill in 3rd, had to downshift at the halfway turn, then again almost at the top, where I spun on some logging slash buried under mud, game over. It was the getting stuck and turning around on a steep slippery hill when I got bushwhacked. I did make it the second time.
The trick is not to stop, I could obviously be better at that, but I think only a 2WD Christini would have made some of the hills any easier.
The weekend ride has gotten me to consider entering the local hill climb...
