Neil's Gap/Blood Mtn. ride...
So the weather in the North Atlanta/North Georgia area was so nice today, and... my best friend and I happen to not be working so we decided to take a ride to the mountains up north for the first time. We never understood why that area is a motorcycle mecca. Now we understand. The ride was almost a religious experience.
The plan was to take it easy and work on form in the corners. Neither of us is familiar with the roads there so we didn't want to take any chances and the police there watch sport bike folks like vultures. For the majority of the ride we hardly broke the speed limit. There was the short portion where some clown in a vette was acting like an ***-hat for his girlfriend. We let him think he had something for a second then we nearly caught his car on fire when we passed him. So that was the only time we let it go. The rest of the time we could have been passed by an ice cream truck. Well... maybe an ice cream truck that spent some hours in a race shop. Point being we spent more time on lines and form then speed.
Bottom line, that was the best ride I've ever had to date. The new rubber was butter and the re-tune and engine work paid for itself in one day. Any Georgia riders that have not been to the Blood Mountain area should make plans in the future to go. It's worth every second.

Thanks...
Even with the twisty roads and great riding it's hard to ignore the view. We went to some trouble and planning to get the nature in with the bike pics. We even asked a local cop to take the picture of us at the overlook. Good times...

Actually it's an IXIL dual underseat exhaust. Just so you know it's a huge pain in the *** to install. I know, I did most of the work. It really looks good though, much better then the giant stock silver cat/muffler. They don't come black from the factory however. My buddy had them powder coated black to match the bike. Also, he had to have them shipped from Spain because he wanted the oval cans. It turned out nice and he gained a noticeable amount of HP.
Thats awesome man nice pics and that exhaust look great on that r6. Im so jealous it nice enough to ride here but my biek looks like someone stripped it since i have the tank off LOL
Yeah nice pics, looks like fun. The r6 looks good, but your Kaw is just sweeeeeeet. I just love the color scheme they used to use. Bring it back errrrrrrrrrrr.
Dont worry 056r, im heading out at 3:30 for a ride. I will take an extra hour for u, k. I should be back around 8. LOL sry i had to
