I know around here the snowmobile trails are occasionally snowmobile only. No other motorized vehicles are allowed because they run through private property and whatnot. Just be sure to make sure its open to motorized vehicles and you'll be golden.

 

I live in westminster ma one day last year I took a ride from my home to stratton mt to bromery mt to magic mt then back home I think it was 250 to 300 miles in a day. my *** was sore. I would like to come up and ride with but I think I would have to stay some where for the night Do you know of any trails up to the tops of any moutions? in southeren vt or nh?

 

Yeah, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) has done a really good job securing rights of way for trails in the winter. They are a very well organized group. The trails are well maintained, graded, even signed. It's pretty amazing. But like Josh said, a lot of their trails are on private land, and in the summer that land is actively farmed. I think it can be done on primarily public roads, it will just take some work.

 

If you find an all offroad path from bottom to top of vermont I would be down for the ride.
