Well, you may not NEED a boat to get across, but that river has floated one helluva boat

Floated that boat?...when?...during the great flood of 1948?...the year you were born?

What is that boat?...a dredge?

Yup, that river floats 988 tons of boat. That thing tore up the valley and pulled out a dredge-load of gold.

Yankee Fork Gold Dredge

Now it's sitting in a pond off the main channel.

Pretty sure I was born in '28...

Nice pics Dan. I almost want to ride there, but those close trees just don't entice me. Give me the wide open...

So did you make it through the fence posts?

Heck yes...

There was some interesting trails on this ride. At one point we were in a slotted narrow incised single track about 12 ft below the ground surface above. It was winding all over. Very cool, but a bit unnerving because if someone was coming the other direction with any speed at all, you wouldn't see them and have a head-on. Need to get a pic of that next time.

Scott, does everyone in that pic have a PBR in their hand?

For a slot trail like you mention here, check out the video in this thread on ADV under the title "Dead Cow #2". Scott, this trail is only about 25 or 30 miles NW of where you guys were camped on that last Moab trip.
