Yeah, it's tightened just beyond hand-tight. Barely had to tap mine to get it off.
Getting it back on was another story. Didn't want to buy a special socket that I couldn't find locally, so went with an (Internet) educated guess. Took a couple tries to get it to what felt right.

I wound up using a mallet and brass punch. Worked pretty well without mangling the nut. Don't know if I overtightened but everything seemed to move freely without having any play.

It's not overtight then. Check it again after you have done a couple of rides
