What is your maintenance interval for your bike?

Clean the chain every 500 miles?
Oil change every 1000 miles?
Change fluids?

 

Every time I clean it I give it a once over. Chain oil every ride (usually about 2-300 KM) and oil and oil filter every 2-2500 km. Air filter when its dirty (I can feel the loss in performance) usually about every 500 KM or every other ride. As mentioned before everything else gets a bit of WD40 or oil or a quick check with a spanner after I clean it following a ride.

 

chain - check every 150-200, normally lube then
oil - every 1000
air filter - check with oil change
air - one a week at least ( i have seen my front tube lose 4 pounds in one night for some reason )
get the bearings greased if you havent alreadly if the bike is new or if you dont know if it has been done. most bikes come from the factory with little grease. if the bike hasnt been jetted do that, theres plenty of post about that so just search. after that, its all about how deap your pockets are and what you want to do.

 

Many people state that they do their oil change every 1,000 miles, but isnt it kinda overkill to do it that often? I did mine at 1k from my last oil change and it was still clean.
Isn't 1500-2000 miles more advised?
