Loving my KLX250SF w/carbs!
Nearly all of my buds have KTMs now. I'm just not into it...but they're nice.
The Rally has Ohlins front/back and a ton of other mods. Hoping to test it in the next week and we'll see! Seemed like the same power as the KLX to me, but heavier, and MUCH larger!

Sounds like you found a gem with that suspension mod! It's possible the engine was modded too with that high dollar aftermarket suspension which would explain the 'extra' power.
I need to find out how to find out! There are many "ECU piggyback" units, but I don't even know where to look on this new to me bike.
Hoping to get out in the near future on both back to back. The Honder feels much more polished...and less exciting to ride.

I may have asked this before...how do you guys with carbs start your cold bikes?
Every bike I've owned with carbs and a choke has been started the same for me. Choke on. Starter button. Let it run a bit to warm then choke off...maybe even after I start riding. I normally have to keep it running with the throttle. KLX nearly always stalls on choke and is just as bad when running and cold.
Picked bike up yesterday and they could not get it to fail. Here's what they did. Choke on. Starter button. Let it run only ~10 seconds until the RPM starts to stumble. Choke off. Fine...every time. I'm told that leaving the choke on more than that ~10 seconds makes it run too rich and it stalls. I've never owned anything like but...have I just been doing it wrong on the KLX?

Got in a test ride off road today. Choke worked excellent with use at initial cold start, then pushing it off in ~9 seconds. Never stalled or sputtered. Who woulda-thunk.
Thinking of ordering some bars for my SF. Is there a way to get the specs for the factory ones so that I can compare them to these?

Leaning toward black KX high bend option.

I wouldn't worry about bend comparisons. The stock bars were frequently one area of complaint by the media. Probably the reason you aren't seeing a KLX250 bend in aftermarket too. Lots of riders do the CR bend either low or high. Others prefer the KX bend. The way to decide is to simply hold a set in your hands in front of you and see if your wrists are in line and the grip is comfortable.
I would like something a little higher and a little further back...and not sure about length (width?). I just wanted to see stock specs so that I could compare with the aftermarket specs. It will be an online order, probably Tusk...so I won't have them in my hands to try, sadly.
I also see some riser options, but have to research how much I can raise the mounting point without needing new cables/hoses on the SF version.
