Default A little jetting help please...

I just got my 09 klx250sf a week ago. alredy put 450 miles on it, love it. I installed a Q4 slip on before even riding it. Next step is to install the high flow air filter, remove the snorkal, open the air box a little, and re-jet it. I already ordered the K&N and the stage 1 and 2 dynojet kit. Any suggestions on how to tweak it all to make it right? never jetted before...

The DJ kit you ordered will come with directions. Your planned air box mods will put you squarely into "stage 2" so just follow the directions. The folks at DJ designed this kit for you and tell you what to do.

Welcome. Where are you from?

Just take it slow and when your taking stuff apart pay attention. Dont know how much mechanical background you have, but the klx was the first thing ive ever jetted and it went easy. i had to adjust it a few times but its spot on now.

I just did my first re jet and full exhaust to my sf too... its SUPER easy, I was nervous too. The directions are about the most straight forward thing ever.

Keep in mind that before the jet and the exhaust, I was easily able to tear around corners and now that its jetted, the bike is faster than I am. Get the DJ#2206.. totally different animal now.

If you ever make it down to La Crosse Lmk!!
