Just be so quick and strong that you can pick the bike up with one hand and remove the wheels, forks, chain whatever; reinstall and set it back down.

I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I modified my exisitng car jack. I removed the metal head, and bolted on a plywood plate. A cam-buckle strap provides additional stability. It works really well and is very stable.

Where did you get your stand?

 

Thats exactly what i did, until I got a great deal on a motorcycle lift off of Craigslist.

I ordered it through my old shop in the Tucker-Rocky catalog years ago. It was some outfit named DG or DJ or such. There are others like it out there.
