funny, mine did too!

although you can't really compare the two. i really don't like riding my Husky on the road at all (at least not the way it is setup now):

The Husky TE450 (2010) is a beast of a bike compared to the KLX, and to be fair I don't compare them. I wouldn't dare ride the Husky on the road like I do my KLX, but on the dirt it is far superior to the KLX.

So any other KLX owners out there that have moved to, or also own a Husky?

How does the Husky 450 compare to the KLX with a 351 BB (poweerwise)?

i haven't ridden a te-450, mine is a 250, so i can only comment on that. Its a lot different than the KLX. I have very limited time on a KLX351 (i had my klx for about 2 years, but it was not a 351).

the husky is fuel injected, stock it has 30 hp. it is also 50 lbs lighter than the KLX. mine is also geared with 12/50 gearing, so it is an absolute beast on the trails. it probably tops out at about 50 on the road though. so again, i won't compare the 2 bikes, other than to say they are just completely different machines. i found that i was trail riding (NE rock trails) 95% of the time, and decided to go with a more off road oriented bike.

My bikes current state of tune and mods makes 51.3HP with a SM wheel on a Dynojet 250. The shop that tunes mine built a pretty wicked KLX351 Supermoto made 33ish HP. You really can't make a comparison the Husky does everything better, even vibrate. If you ditch the factory seat and replace the factory bars with a set of Pro-Taper EVO's the on road ride is much better.
