LED Tail Lights

RE: LED Tail Lights
I was actually kind've surpised that these indicators didn't have something like that built-in since they are sold as automotive replacement bulbs. But if you don't get them inserted in the correct orientation, they won't light. It's not too big of a deal, but that would make them a bit more idiot proof.

RE: LED Tail Lights
I know what your saying Brian.
What I find odd is that the technology used on the indicators of cars and bikes is so crude.
It hasn't changed at all in my life time.
And with most bikes having only 1 direction indicator on the dash there is an added issue in some cases.
Some vehicles are now being fitted with LED's as standard and 1 day I imagine it will be the norm.
But until then it will be more complicated than it should be.
I have fitted small indicators to my KLX to save me breaking the standard ones.
I find it annoying that, even though they are incandesent bulbs, there power rating is lower than standard and I have to either replace the flasher or add some load or put up with a faster flash rate.
In 2006 I find that wrong.
Cheers.

RE: LED Tail Lights
ORIGINAL: Nobrakes But instead I just wired up two sockets in parallel for the blinker and put in two LEDs reversing the polarity of one of them. Now one lights when the left indicator is on, and the other lights when the right indicator is on - kind'a like your car.
