Even though i'm going to eat the shipping...I just returned my IMS tank to them ....they even said they would not charge a restocking fee as i explained my dillemma.......Which was a bit of a fib but hey ...you know how it goes.....
This tank is coming at perfect timing as i really need the extra fuel as i am going to Hatfield-McCoy for the july holiday and i will definatley need the extra fuel onboard.

Acerbis tank volume test. I ran it out of fuel on both standard and reserve. I put in 3.698 gallons. That make (3.698 -1.9=1.798) 1.798 extra gallons of fuel. There was still fuel showing in the wing. So maybe the volume is figured with some left in the wings. 3.698 would normally be rounded to 3.7 gallons as advertises. I'm still liking my Acerbis 3.7

I don't know how on earth you could manage to suck all 3.7 gallons out of your Acerbis... ???
I'm lucky to get 3 gallons out of mine before it's dry... For some reason I don't believe you. [&:]
Yes, I know it holds 3.7 gallons, but you can't get 3.7 gallons out of it on level ground.

You should thank Patrick (plameau) he has been on clark since he bought his bike. I have been talking to him very specifically on alot of issues. They made the tank to his specs, he asked for as much capacity as possible, and keeping all the stock parts. They made it exactly how he wanted them to...He said he even gets the first two made, he actually has 2 KLX's... I got the inside scoop on some other parts too..

Well, you guys in the know need to keep the rest of us informed! Patrick, is it everything you asked for?

I think your first thought hit the mark. Everybody has a slightly different definition of beauty, but with some the differenceis not so slight. If you saw my exhaust, that would definitely drive the point home. [8D]

Just having some fun. I think the Acerbis is one of those 'function over form' or maybe character over beauty type of products though
