I just got an e-mail from JustGasTanks:
Ben Rosenthal says that he talked with someone at Clarke, and the KLX250S tank is 3 weeks from shipping.
They have a Pre-buy list forming: if I buy on-line today, I'd be #3 for pre-paid or #11 for Non-paid.
Shipping for me (and I assume anyone else in Canada) is $45 to ship with insurance, by either USPS or UPS. (And you already know from mewhat a rip-off UPS Canada is, so there's no doubt which way to go!)
Its getting closer!!!

Naw, probably not.They didn't have the 'prepaid waiting list' when I first tried to order, so they refunded my money and put me on the regular waiting list. I think I'm 'pole position' on that one though.
I was concerned about the two listsand wrote them an email. It turns out that they have already ordered enough tanks to more than cover everyone on both waiting lists, so it shouldn't really matter that much.
Shipping to Japan takes longer, so chances are I wouldn't have gotten the first tank anywy[8D]

Where can we get on the waiting list then, and is there any pics/fit info out there somewhere to see how everything is going to turn out?... the factory tank has been a real problem for me and I'm tired of running around with a tied down 1-gallon tank on the rack as a permenant red flag on the back of my bike. :P

Sorry, no pics, but there's some second-hand info earlier in this thread. The sign-up that I mentioned is at www.JustGasTanks.com. I've tried to get some group buy thing going with Clarke, but I never heard anything back from them.
