there is no delay..... who ever sent that email was wrong... Patrick called clarke, a KTM tank mold broke.
Thanks for the info.. I'll keep the slush fund fat.

That email came from justgastanks.com. The original date they got from Clarke was '3 weeks as of April 3rd,' so that would make the tank due about now.Going by whatyou are saying, the tankwill beabout 2 weeks late, according to Clarke's original projection, but I'll take that over six weeks any day.

I just bounced an email off of Just Gas Tank to have them double check. I'm getting ready to fire another at Clarke.

Patrick wanted me to share this with you guys....

Eric,
Here is a letter I just got from Chris at Clarke, pass this around. (Note the date also)

Pat..

Please read the below open letter to all customers and dealers regarding the
KLX250S tank.
After speaking with Janet ( General Manager, Clarke Mfg. Inc.) Here is our company's response:

To the Customers and Dealers who are waiting for the KLX250S tanks to be completed for sale:

There is no ruined tool.

We are, as always, extremely busy. We have a massive workload with our current production parts as well as new
projects. The KLX250S tank is one of the MANY high demand tanks we are trying to get
into production. It is the next in line of about 4 other ones we have been working on this year.

The modeling work is done. Now we just have to make it into hard tooling.
Then there is fabrication of the framework, polishing and final fit and measurements.
This could take as many as 6 weeks.(As of April 25th)

Clarke Manufacturing is working very hard to make this tank a reality and we
are confident that it will be worth the wait. We would like to thank all of the customers and dealers who have been
waiting patiently for this tank and we will be sure to let everyone know the moment they are ready for sale.
We truly believe that we make the best products out there and hope that thisproduct will exceed your expectations.

Very Best Regards,

Chris Roley
Clarke Manufacturing Inc.

P.S.. PLEASE feel free to post this letter on any internet forums or
forward it other people you know are waiting as well.

Patrick LaMeau

**thanks brian.....

Just out of courtesy, you may want to remove Patrick's phone number from the above. Maybe he's OK with that, but I'd double check just in case.

Just hang in there guys. It will be worth it not to have to do the mods on the IMS.

You bet! I'm gonna mark the calendar and hope for a pleasant surprise, but I'm pretty sure this tank will be well worth the wait.
Clark has a very good name here in Japan as well. They always have an awesome fit andgenerallyremain pretty slim while adding a decent amount of fuel capacitywhen compared toIMS offerings for any given model of bike.

Anyway, June6th for you guys and June 7th for us Far Easterners. [8D]
