So I eamiled IMS about a larger tank for the klx250s/sf and here is what they told me

Unfortunately, we do not offer a tank for this bike at this time.
Sorry about that. It is always a possibility in the future, but we have not
had many requests for a tank for this bike. If you can round up a bunch of
people to show interest, it would definitely help the cause! We just
recently started making WR250R/X tanks because some people got together on a forum and expressed a large demand. It is all in the numbers!

So if anyone wants to see IMS make a larger tank, maybe drop them an email. The tank they make for the WRX/R used stock shrouds which I what I want for the 250s/sf.

Just what I figured.

The last time there was a thread about getting someone to make a bigger tank for the 09 klx, the same response was given.

Clarke, IMS, etc.. there isn't enough interest to invest on the mold for this bike yet.

I emailed safari about an 09 tank, response was they forwarded the email to the manufacturer. Oh well. At least they will be putting out a fi husky tank - their response was that it will 5x better than the ims (which is good since the one ims makes is prone to leaking/ cracking regularly).

 

i started a trying this is 08 i think, and the just shrugged me off basicly. good to hear their listening now.

 

price the safari yet? think the one for the 630 was going to be like $800 ouch!
