Default Krieger MCCT

Installed the Krieger MCCT today. What a difference! I bought an immaculate 2009 KLX250S with 3400 miles. In the few hundred miles I've put on it, there has been a "knocking" in the engine that was really bothering me. Sounded like a rod bearing or really bad piston slap. Read about how much quieter the engine was after some owners installed the MCCT. Decided to start with that to see if it improved. That was it! I have had a manual tensioner on my 2002 DRZ for many years and knew how easy they are to adjust. If you have a "noisy" engine, would be worth the price to see if that cures it. By the way, Mr. Krieger is an interesting and easy person to deal with.

I'm running one too.
Totally happy with it.
He makes a good product.

Today is my 53rd anniversary of getting my first motorcycle in the 8th grade. My Dad drove up that evening in '68 with a Suzuki 80cc Challenger street scrambler stuffed in the back seat area of his '64 Ford Custom 500 4 door sedan. (He had taken out the rear seat) I still have the newspaper ad that he saw it in. Cost: $294.

What a great memory...
I'll wager the joy of riding is just the same today.

I bought my first bike in 1965 with money I made working in a Chinese restaurant. I'd never ridden a motorcycle until the day I rode it home from the dealership. I still remember that day... and riding is still just as much fun today as it was then.
