Do I have any regrets buying this bike....NO! ( Actually my wife bought it fora X-mas present for mein 05. She saw me looking at it on theInternet and went down to the Kawi dealer and bought it. I had no idea! yep. she's the best!)
Do I wish my wife bought a different bike for me.....NO! This is the bike I wanted!

I remember back in the fall of 2005 when I was lurking on this site, you, deej, and bmwhd were about the only guys on this board. I think you were the first to post and deej was the first to actuallyget the bike. I read youguy'sposts as a lurkeruntil I bought the bike in April '06 and finally registered.

the "pig" now probably weighs the same if not less than your stock KLX. you wanna come over and ride it? I'll help you line up a deal on a new DRZSM afterwards.

it is, nothing has changed. but it now weighs probably as much as a stock KLX 250 with all the dumb things they put on it. with the same weight and twice the power, trust me, you will want one of these SM's after riding one. they're addictive. but don't take it from me.
Yes, those "ridiculous" dirt dikes with street tires are pretty darn addicting aren't they? BWAAAAAHAHAHA!!!Anothervictim claimed! To all who haven't tried the SM thing, don't knock it until you try it.

Yeah Iowaguy and with all the stuff I have taken off my KLX mine weighs probably around a ton less than your yellowpig [:'(]
Deanyou areabsolutly right mate it's the best fun I have had since I went parachuting!

Oh yeah to answer the OP's question, yes I would buy another even with all the choices we have in Australia (almost every dual purpose and enduro is able to be registered here)
Cheers

Iowatard, you alre the only one I know who removes his plastic licence plate holded, the seat strap, chain guard & "removed 20 lbs" from a DRZ & made it lighter than a KLX. Your SM DRZ is nothing like the dirt DRZ---more removed than the 250S from the 300R. Your "RM" fork is not a RM fork & will never be mistaken as one by anyone who actually knows the difference. You are the definition of a tool.
