KLX250S owners - Would you buy it again?
It's a great bike and the only true dual sport in the 250cc class, IMHO. The rest are just barely street legal enduros that are more tempermental and maintenance intensive. What I like aboutthe bikeis it is so versatile and nimble. Would I buy it again? Certainly.
I'm not sure what mods FM thumper has done so far, but a pumper carb combined with a 300-331cc large bore will give you clutchless wheelies all day. I darn near busted my azz and my friends tailight learning that. I can do it with my 250, but it takes more pursuasion.

I guess the perfect bike for me would have been a KLX300S.

A dirt bike takes a lot of beating. In a few years, I may replace the KLX with another DP bike for the dirt and "retire" the KLX to the street and modify it into a super motard. [8D]
They're a fun little motard machine;I canvouch for that. The only otherbike that made me think twicewas a motarded, street leagal version of the WR250 that's available here in Japan, but $9,000.00 is a serious chunk of change for a 250. This bike is basically a toy for me, so I can't see investing that much $$.

Hey Iowa, I believe that this thread was addressed to KLX250S owners. Obviously former owners would discourage anyone from buying. So stfu on this one!
Now back to the question.
Yes, I would buy again. I am pleased with my purchase and have no remorse at all. I've had mine for a year and a half now, and would do it all over again.

Yes!! I only have 600km (Approx 370 miles) 80% of which is trail/Bush riding. and I do not Regret my purchace one Bit!

the only thing that i would like on the bike is a Rekluse Clutch which they do not make for the KLX yet[:@][:@], this would be the ultimate prouduct for Bush/Trail Riding.IMO
