Advance auto also sells the fram filter for our bikes. Thats what i use.

 

Just my usage:
Idle @ 1500 rpms (fully warmed up)
Fram CH 6015 oil filter
Mobil 1 4T 10w-40 Motorcycle oil

A good mod when changing the oil filter. Theres a spring that pushs back on the filter, enlarge one end of the spring so that it stays in the three prong holder.

 

OK I feel like I'm making great progress here, I now know what type oil, filter and rpm idle settings I need, and where to purchase. Thanks. Can't find a Clymers specific to the KLX250? Is there one or is the manual cross referenced to another model or ? Owners manual supplement or? I'm sure someone has an answer.
