I totally agree. I get <50mpg on the highway (OK, going 65) than in the dirt. But my butt needs a rest a LOT more often!

As I understand it - Motards have the light, Off-road has the reserve. I'll take a reserve any day over a light.

My '09 US motard has reserve on the petcock. No light.

Gentle bump for an old thread...

I found MSR fuel bottles at Eastern Mountain. For those of you unfamiliar, it's a camping storefront (maybe they have a website, I didn't look. It's 2014, right??). They had 10oz, 20oz, and 30oz bottles available. Not enough to constitute a fill-up, but hopefully enough to get you back to the trail head.
