My 1995 750ZXi fuel gauge jumps all over the place. Only shows half tank when full, then will drop to less than 1/4 tank even though I can remove seat and see that tank is still over 3/4 full. I figure there is a sending unit in the tank that's bad? I have checked for loose or broken wires but found nothing. BTW- does this model have a fuel pump? If so could it cause this problem? Also looking for any good places to get salvage parts. Appreciate any help!!

Usually, like 90% of the time, it is the sending unit. Kind of pricy tho... I think around a $100 bill... Maybe you can find a used one on Ebay??

No fuel pump.... Just the pick up line, to the fuel filter, to the carbs, and the return lines. The pick up lines is a different unit than the fuel gauge sending unit.
