KLX250 torque and power
Hi
Didn`t understand "Look at the work instruction in my signature too" i`m afraid.
I have read your condensed version of the MCTM and your KLXS Cheap Mods though.
After a lot of internet reading i`ve ordered a 299cc AHL kit.
Thanks again.
Cheers

Guess you've already got the idea. Don't do the MCM if you go with the 300 kit. Didn't help from what was learned back then. I don't think you have much risk doing the 300 kit. Not expensive and could sell if you needed to.
Hi.
Economics really. Here in the UK i can get the 299 AHL kit for a very reasonable 150 UK pounds off Ebay, i could be looking at THREE times that for the 351 BB kit from the USA as far as i can see.
I still have and regularly use my 660, twin carb, five-valve-head, big single in the garage as well!
Cheers

Don't blame you for doing the 299 kit for the money. TNC has had excellent experience with the Kaw kit on his bike riding with a variety of other bikes/riders. He's experienced enough to know it won't make the bike pull like a 500 nor will the KLX ever be a KTM, but it works well for most riders who want to play. I heartily agree. It's like riding a super sport 600, sure the 1000 are faster and have some more trick parts, but the 600 works great on public roads - and even for track days.
