Probably, somewhere, but the local Montreal station was running the story all day, so I knew I'd catch a clip of the KLX. If you want to find out more, CNN or Fox would probably mention the collapse.

I heard that someone called the Quebec Ministry of Transportation earlier in the day saying that pieces of the bridge were falling down ... I'll bet that will make some interesting lawsuits!

 

Update:

The bike rider was on the upper roadway, heading towards the bridge and actually slid over the edge. The woman behind him said that he probably saved her life because she saw him disappear, and that's what caused her to stop ... she said that if he wasn't there in front of her, she wouldn't have noticed the "hole" and would have gone over the edge herself.

If my French was better, I probably would have got the story right the first time. (As it stands now, I know enough French to get myself into trouble, but not enough to get myself out of it.)
