I think the WR suspension will always keep it a bit ahead of the KLX in the hands of a good rider.
But a 40cc kit? 290cc for $1000? comeon... Gimme 80-100cc kit anyday! bring on the 351!

There really is only one option. I soooo want one too. I've been saving my pennies since I saw the first proto's demolish everything in their wake back in 1990.

Rotaries have a power band much like a 2 stroke. No low end torque. Also get very poor fuel milage. If you ever get a chance to look under the hood of an older Mazda RX7 take a look at the carb bigger 4 barrell than a Quadrajet. Used to replace clutches on them regurarely at 15 to 25 thousand miles because of the no low end power. Van Veen and Hercules used to make rotary bikes FYI.
