One more thing. Be prepared to up your jetting. I had to go up one on the main and dropped the clip one position. Love the results.

The bike will not start hot. I found out the hard way.

After I did the mod including the ACR, I did not like the performance of the bike, so I put the cams back to stock timing. I did not change the ACR back.

For one day I did not have a problem starting. The next day I ran the battery dead cold. Got the bike fired up and went to work. I ran to the bank on the bike and when I came out it would not start again. I got some one to push the bike but he would not push hard enough, so I pushed the bike. When the bike fired up, the guy on it took off. I was pushing hard and fast on the luggage rack. Well, the bike took off and I had nothing to hang on to any more so I went face forward. I broke 2 fingers on my left hand . The next day I pulled the exhaust cam and put the ACR back to stock. I had marked it before I turned it in the first place, so putting it back to stock was not too bad. Bike starts fine hot and cold again like it did before I started all this stuff. Typing is more difficult and fingers are slowly healing.

ACR timing is important!

Whats your elevation and what is your current jetting? Also what do you have done on top of the cams? Thanks.

DavidR i hope your battle wounds heal quickly.

WORK,
I am at around 900-1100 elevation. I have the Dynojet kit for the klx250s and am running the 132 main jet and have the clip on the fourth notch down on the dynojet needle. 3 turns out on the pilot screw. FMF. PBomb and Q4. KDX snorkel and stock snorkel, screen removed and K&N filter. Prior to came mod i was running the 128 main.

2veedubs. Thanks, im pretty close to those settings now at sea level. 2bros, uni, lid removed and im running 132 main bored slighty to 134ish 3rd clip 2 1/2 out on screw. Its slighty rich. So ill leave it and give it a go with that. May play with the needle though. Oh and i did have it dyno tuned and those settings worked best for some strange reason.

I have noticed that my 250 runs best when jetted a little fat.
