Looks good. Just need to had crank it a few rotations manually, crank it a few times with the key, put in the spark plug, start it up and enjoy. I noticed a big difference in the note. Sounds better than my friends WR450.

Just got it put together. Tested as instructed then fired it up. It runs. Raining here so can’t give it a test run. I’ll give my thoughts when I put some miles on it.

Thanks for the help.

So how did you find the process doing the mod without taking the cams out?

It was a little cumbersome but not too bad. I was able to get the sprocket back on the cam by hand and didn't have to use a screwdriver. As you stated it was a bit of a chore getting the sprocket off the chain.

I think if I did it again or changed it back I would do it the same way.

The only thing left is to see a video of your next ride and hear the new note.

Didn't take any video but the new note was noticeable. Brappy may describe what I'm hearing. I did about 200 miles. 60/40 pavement/FSR's. Defiantly felt stronger down lot. I need to play around with my EJK more and try to zero it in. I left the cover on the air box with the KDX snorkel. I may try removing it but I'm hesitant due to some of the places we ride.

It seems like my fuel light came on earlier than normal. I need to fill it up and check the MPG. I usually fill it up at home with ethanol free so I don't have a good number to compare it to.

Anyway, seems worth the effort.

@Topher749 , to take full advantage of your MCM and KLX300R exhaust, you're going to have to remove the airbox lid and significantly richen the entire rpm band (all EJK "zones") ..

Start with the recommended settings for a lidless airbox and then add more fuel (perhaps add 1 "light") to the low, mid, and at least one more "light to the upper range (red zone)..
'

I can't describe the exact performance you'll get because I don't know exactly what exhaust components you've installed - you need to explain exactly what KLX300R components you are using.

One thing that's an "absolute", once fueled correctly, the increase in performance will be profound.

And if its not fueled correctly, performance could be worse, which was my experience. I remember a post a few months back where you listed all the carb issues that needed to be correct, and I had to admit that on my 2nd hand KLX I didn't know the status of any of the carb parameters you called out. By the time of that post I had already returned the Marcelino mod back to the stock setting, and between being happy with the way it started and ran without the mod and also being an old dog, I've left it be.
