Boy do I feel guilty about the deal I got on my "newsed" 300-mile 06 last year....
$2500 !
local pickup off craigs list!
I wanted the 06/07KLX250S bad, but NO WAY was going to pay the $4800 the dealer wanted for a dirt-bike!

yeah, you done good. Some people just don't have a clue on how much to spend on a bike. I am no expert at all, but I know when too much is too much. I see the Canadian jab wasn't taken too hard, as all you Canadians or is it Canadiens, pretty much know how most Americans think of ya. I mean, we like ya and all, but.................we have a choice where to live, and, well uh,............................
After thinking about it more, I realized why KLX's go for so much up there- they have to cover their fair share of the healthcare costs. Makes sense now.

I'm glad I won't be paying any more than $4400 for my new '09 with 0 miles.
I'm guessing you'll need about $120 for fuel to go get it (The minivan will get 25mpg, right? The bike will fit in the minivan, right?). Then there's food for two days on the road, and one night in a motel.

I don't know, it's starting to sound like it may be better to just buy locally. You'll probably be able to talk them into a lower price anyway.

Good luck.

no, the ad wasn't meant to show you where I plan on buying. Rather, it's intent was to show that before these bikes are even on dealer's floors, they're discounting them some $400. My dealer does not charge freight, setup, or any other type of made up fees and I won't pay them anyways. I know he'll match or even beat that price pretty handily.

Speak for yourself when you make a general statement of how we Americans feel about Canadians, also you better hurry up and put a down payment on that 09 and try to lock that price in delivered> Let us see the invoice when you do.

Sure, but seeing how you live in the armpit of America, I'm not surprised...
Why don't you ring up a dealership in the Seattle area, and ask them what they want for a new KLX?
Sumpin tells me it's a little more than in Iowa. It's called supply and demand - and there's no demand down in the corn hole of america.

If you reread my post, I state"how MOST Americans feel.......", not howall Americans feel. You're not in my group evidently. You must buy cigarettes or drugs from there.

LMAO, w/o this "cornhole", you wouldn't be eating tonight or filling your Chevette up tonight on your way to the trailer park. As far as demand, I suggest you do some research. The midwest is one of the largest MX regions as well as Enduro and hare-scramble areas in the US. I'm sure I've told you this, but Iowa was voted as one of the best states in which to live, work, raise a family, has the best schools and universities, etc. Seattle??? Yeah, there's a good one. Rain and filth. I wanna move there. You do know that jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins, right? You're spewing of it. Just call it a day and move down here. I mean, after all, we've got McCain and Clinton. Take your pick.

If it wasn't for the rain more people from California would move here, so rain good. Besides I can always find something to do indoors if its pouring rain. Oh and rain keeps the pollution out of the sky....granted it sends it to the fishes but we got clean air. I get to Seattle once a year maybe, and I can't wait to get back to my mole hole.[8D] Nobody should knock Iowa and other states like it, because we do get a lot of what we eat from there. As far as raising a family and best places to live, I wouldn't trade the Olympic Peninsula for anything. We got 5 major rivers all within 15 miles or less, mountains for hiking, the ocean is a 10-15 minute drive from here, and no traffic or aggravation. Its all good. Hey IG you should post some pics of your neck of the woods, Lord knows everyone is getting sick of me posting pics from where I live.
