Here in US, I got my new '07 for $4300 including all taxes and Plate charge. I also got back $400 VIA a rebate. But Canada is a different country so maybe they pay more. There's probably duties charges/Tarrifs/Customs fees/etc... to come down to USA to buy a bike so I can't see comparing USA prices to Canada. IG, please don't start an international incident.

not my initiative. I'm simply trying to help this young man sell his bike and stop the tirekickers from just viewing his auction. Because at the price he has, that's all that is going to happen.

IG do some F'n research before you start questioning everyones motives. The 07 klx250 in canada retailed for 5999. Look at the specs here : www.kawasaki.ca

LOL- you do the research. It doesn't matter what he paid for it, as I already stated if youhadread- I am sure he paid way more than it is worth now. I don't care if he paid $10000 for it. I never said anything about the Canadian msrp. It doesn't matter now anyways. The exchange rate as of January 31, 2008 between both US dollars and CAD's was nearly identical. So, according to nadaguides.com his bike is worth around $3800 in average condition according to canadian values. I would think that according to market standards his mileage and said damage warrants an average machine. In my personal estimation, I would put it below average but that's just me. If the scratches weren't there, it would be average but it evidently has been down and accumulated some damage where the barswere bent and the plastic scratched. I didn't plan on getting into some hissyfit over this, I was originally just offering advice to help him move his bike. But if you want to get technical, that's fine. He said his reserve is $4000, but he doesn't even have a reserve amount set because the smallest bid you can enter to start is only above $4300, so it's either at least that amount or nothing. He doesn't even know he doesn't have a reserve price set, or if he does he set his starting bid higher than his reserve which you don't do. What's the point of having a reserve if you start the bidding higher than it? I don't even know if that's possible to do on ebay when listing. I said he should set his reserve around $3700 which is safe and probably what his bike could bring to the right buyer. Wouldn't you know itthat my estimationwas only $100 than what the market says it's worth as of today. So when you tell someone to do som "Fn" research, you had better come to the plate with a bat. Otherwise you will look real foolish like you just did.

EDIT: LOL, I see he heeded my advice. He just lowered his starting bid 2grand and now has a reserve price. This will certainly help his chances. What were you saying now hardtaco? [sm=owned.gif]

I think I need some popcorn of my own.
