Is Kawasaki going to keep the KLX 250s?
I have been researching dual-sports for a very long time, and keep thinking the KLX maybe what I end up with because of the weight and a six speed transmission.
I was kind of hopeful the aftermarket would make a 4-5 gallon tank but not likely to happen.
Hopefully I will have enough saved to get a new bike in 07 and was hoping more DS bikes would be coming to the states, But if they aren’t going to bring it back I will keep it between the KLR/DRZ and DR.
Thanks

Oops I forgot to post a link, this is why I was worried Kawasaki may not bring it back for 07. http://www.kawasaki.com/html/default...r650_frame.asp
They list a 07 KLR and only a 06 KLX. I was kind of hoping they just haven’t got the 07 KLX on their site yet.
After reading my post I realized it looked like I was a Troll. Sorry about that!

I've been checking the Kawi site to see if they post the 07 model also. I know that there is a forum member here who recently bought an 07 model in Canada. I would think that Kawasaki would give it a few years in the states before they pulled the plug.
Thanks guys! I sure hope they keep it. It wouldn’t make any since to dump something the second year but a lot of company’s sometimes do things that don’t make any since.

When I was at the track down in Castle Rock on Sunday, there were some bikes from a dealer, I can't remember which one, but there was a WR 450 that was dual sported for sale, it was a pretty cool looking machine with the huge but light aluminum frame. But then again it wasn't green so there you go.
