Looks good to me, but I prefer the bright annoying neon yellow for street riding. For out-in-the-hinterlands trail riding, something more subdued as the bright neon just attracts negative attention from the locals. I have a heavy winter-type FieldSheer jacket which seems well built and keeps me very warm. I don't know how that price compares.

Picked up a Fulmer ADV helmet today from a dealer at $80 on closeout. A hair of weird vision crap, but not bad at all...sweet. And thanks for the thumbs-up for FieldSheer! Ordering tonight.

Let us know what you think about it after you've put some miles in it.

Is this one of those, you're not gonna be satisfied kinda things? I can see where it could get annoying but it is in a kinda neutral spot. It's right at the bridge of the nose and it still had the sticker on the shield at the dealer so I couldn't really see it...

BTW Jacket ordered and some Teknic Chicane gloves. The gloves looked decently beefy while not looking like a complete oven for summertime.

Looks like a pretty good deal for the money. Most jackets have a velcro "flap" you can swap out armor. For 99 bucks, you can even rip a seam or two if you need to, in order to accomodate hard stuff. I've never been a fan of the CE foam armor. I like the hard rubber; maybe just a mental hang-up I have. Seems like it would handle a good pavement grind better, to me. (I got my hard rubber stuff at New Enough--or whatever they're called now.) I have a discontinued Scorpion XDR Commander (and a few leather jackets) that I like pretty well. Just get something YOU like and fits properly.
I have some Chicane gloves (have used for years) and love them.

Alright, just waiting on stuff to show up. Still trying to decide on pants. And I might end up getting mesh junk. I've got yet another question. So, I've seen this padded/armored spandex. Would this be a solution to overpants? Wearing a pair of those and a pair of knee guards? Just a question.
