I hate kill switches in general, ok fine on a motocross bike that if it wasn't there you would have to pull the plug wire off by hand but on a modern bike with a standard ignition it is unnecessary as I don't have one one my car or truck and it's ok. The kill switch is there for idiots who ride my bike to use so the next time I ride I will have to check everything about the bike in order to get it started again.

 

That's another reason I never use the kill switch. Also too many people use the switch because they teach it in class. But what they don't teach is that people use the kill switch and then get off the bike and the lights are still on and bam! Dead battery. On all three bikes I use the key only.

 

Wow, I just realized that in almost 2500 miles on my bike I have never used the kill switch. I wonder if it even works. I'll check it out this weekend just for fun.

 

The first and only time I've ever used the Kill switch was during my DMV driving test (as required).

 

My bike never got inspected! Thought that was a little odd based on what other people had told me. Oh well, I got my endorsment.
