well everything came in today

just got it all installed
what a pain it is to work on these bikes
barely got the carb spun over enough to get to the jet
I replaced all the screws with allens as I got a whole box of that size

then I got all put back together and forgot to drill out the fuel screw
so had to take all apart to do that

exhaust fit great, they had installed the silencer tip for me

started up
does sound alot louder but surprisingly with my db meter looked exactly the same at idle
will need to make a video to double check
but revving its definitely louder

no time tonight to ride it, but tomorrow I will
and want to see how loud it is without the silencer tip too

I did the larger jet and the 4th needle setting
as hard as it was to get to the jets I dont ever want to go back in there

and I lost the stock jet in the engine somewhere
cant see it at all and non magnetic so who knows where it went

Ah Mike, you did put in the DJ spring.. right? You didn't say whether you pulled the airbox lid - be sure to leave the lid off..

If you got everything back together correctly and air tight, your in for a whole new experience with your KLX.. Can't wait to hear bout your 1st ride..

Mike, with 132/4n you have to pull the entire lid off the airbox. Not just the snorkel. If you want to go lid (w/o snorkel) you go standard stage 2 (128/3n)..

forgot to see if the allen screws I put in are accessable without taking the carb out
im hoping it will be
if I ever change jetting

not sure how you all do it but I had to lift off gas tank and hang over one side
and take off throttle lines
and twist over the carb to get to the bowl

I know on my old dirtbike I thought the carb came out easily on my 300 I had

but this bike the frame was in the way it seemed like

went for a few small rides this morning
runs good

feels like alot more torque especially coming out of 2nd into 3rd

and even if I was in 5th cruising and gun it, feels like alot more power then before

top speed seems the same, around 80 (speedo corrected with that little $80 computer chip thing)

but then im not the lightest rider either

little loud accelerating from a stop, and really not that much louder when normal street driving
but then I am using the silencer tip I purchased
idle sound louder then stock of course, but check out the video

where I got it from, good communication even though it shipped a day later then promised

they claimed the one I was supposed to have shipped the same day was mis labeled in the box but they could tell because of the length

They also dont list the silencer on the site at least I couldnt find it
but they do sell it $30 and installed it before shipping

2009-2013 Kawasaki KLX 250 S S/F O-Series Slip-On Exhaust Pipe; 03-8260

later once I get some riding time I may try this knock off header
New Stainless Bomb Exhaust Head Pipe Header Kawasaki KLX 250 s SF 06 12 10 09 08 | eBay

Careful with that header, I think that's the one someone else here bought and found the pipe diameters don't work at the muffler.
