So the other day I put my new exhaust on and I made sure I used heat resistant silicon for a gasket. I just drove it up the street and I found I have a small exhaust leak (easy fix) and when I shut it off it started to smoke out the tip of the muffler for about 10 min. Is this because it so new and it just needs to broken in or is there another problem?
I would assume the packing and potentially some oil residue on the metal parts from manufacturing that is just burning off when it gets hot.
I bet it will do this the first few times and that would be it.
