well I dropped a 132 in it and she ran like a one legged dog, so I went back to the 128, she runs strong runs a touch lean but nothing bad.

Not necessarily crazy. I'm running a 300 cylinder, full Muzzy exhaust, 300 DJ kit w/needle 3rd clip from top, slide drilled, 128 main, 35 pilot, starter jet drilled, Kouba fuel screw 2 turns out, airbox screen removed, airbox top on but cut open to much larger hole, Twin Air filter. My bike will pull redline in all 6 gears, idles great, carburets cleanly from local 1500 foot altitude all the way to over 10,000 feet, and gets awesome mileage. I tried a 132 main jet, and it was a tad rich...dark plug and a stumble from mid range to WOT. It would run OK at WOT, but the transition from half throttle to WOT wasn't good on the trail. It pulls hard and clean now. I also tried a 40 and 38 pilot, and the fuel screw had to be outside its range to attain a good idle.

All bikes are not the same, and big bore kits should actually bring some efficiency to the combustion process and not always require a lot of richer jetting.

What is 'a touch lean', and how do you know it is?

If I went big bore, I would expect to go down in jet sizes. It's only sensible.

What needle clip setting are you using?
