Dragging up an old thread, question for you guys who know these little black boxes:

I have come across an older CDI, 21119-1427 part number.

Is this before or after the -1533?
I also came across two -1533's but they are selling for $200 each.

I am thinking this CDI with the soon to come 351 kit and pumper carb would make this little bike hard to catch. Only wondering which - number to get.

Just curious why would you bother with a 20cc upgrade, can't see the value for money

BillBlue 331cc kit, Soon to be Bill Blue 351 kit with Bill Blue TM-34 pumper!!!

A friend wants my 331 kit, and I can sell it to him for almost what it cost me with me helping to install it, so why not.

What's up ddt? The 1427 and 1533 have indentical advance curves. The 1427 is no longer carried by Kawasaki and has been replaced by the 1533. 1427 was used on KLX250ES from 94-97.

The -1427 came from an older KLX250ES that was sitting for a long time, with only 6024 km on the bike, so I think this little black box should see some more use, attached to my 351 D-Tracker......with my KACR fitted Nassert cams and TM-34 pumper....of course.

Nope. He's gonna be a pioneer. He pressed the ACR out of an OEM cam and pressed it into his Nassert exhaust cam.

Hopefully he used some loctite I'm letting him be the guinea pig before I try it.

When ya gonna start the engine up, ddt?

Loctite? I knew there was something I was not doing right......oh well. It was a pretty tight fit, so I think it will be fine. Maybe I will install into my stock engine and test while I am putting my spare together with the 351 kit. Will let you know when it goes in and starts testing. If it craters, I have a spare engine anyway.....lol.

I put it in because I killed my starter one-way trying to start the 331 with the ST-1 cams, and the kick starter was not an option without it either....
