I would suggest that you make sure that the 450 will cut it. Compare the 450 with the KTM 525/530 EXC, Husqvarna TE 510, Husaberg FE 570, TM Racing 530 F e.s., Aprilia RXV 5.5, Gas Gas EC 515 FSR. You'll probably find that KTM is overpriced & is the poorest designed of the euro bikes.
Can you give some contrasts between the Husky and KTM valve adjustments and intervals? Thanks.

Mate, you miss the point. I'm talking DUAL PURPOSE on/off road 250cc, as this is what this forum is about. Of course a 250 KX or any other 250 motocrosser has gruntier performance!
What Im saying is exactly that - seems people buy the KLX expecting it to behave like a CR/KX/RM etc, then get disapponted when it doesn't!

lol, what? someone not in love with the orange bike? imo, ktm's have always been overpriced and overrated. heck yes they're nice bikes, but not that nice. regardless, in my opinion, the ktm is the little brother to the husky's. it's a good performer, but is always in the shadow of it's big brother. husky's are just built to win. I'd take a TE over any husaberg, ktm, etc. they are just engineered intelligently for their intended use. plus, last time I checked, they were cheaper than the orange and blue bikes.
