Default It's nearly here!

Summer's just around the corner for NZ, and with it, the gloriously long days of non-stop offroading!

Getting my bike back to scratch after a winter of commuting and the odd wet & cold ride. Cleaning the filter and replacing the brake pads this weekend, and buffing out a few of the scrapes from some riding last weekend.

It seems to have developed a rather noisy front wheel. Any idea of what could be causing the noise? Kind of hard to describe it, it only happens when it's coasting (ie. not accelerating).

Also, just reached 26,000kms. Time to do a valve check? And should I be concerned about my chain at all? Still seems healthy, haven't even had to adjust it since day one!

Then I've just got to wear my winter trailwing rear down so I can replace it with a 606! Got a TKC80 on the front that I'm very happy with, as it's fairly aggressive but has lasted ages. Will probably get one of those again.

What I find odd is that for me the KLX is a winter only bike.

Summer here is too hot to go dirt riding. IMO

I had a similar noise. Only heard it when coasting, when speed dropped below bout 20kmh.
Turned out it was the speedo cable (where it meets the hub).
Dealer put some grease inside it and it stopped.
Just started to notice it again!

LOL!...that's not too different from here in west Texas. Fall, winter, and spring are our best months for dirt motor riding and mountainbiking. Summer is usually just to freakin' hot.
