I'm paying $300 a year (with no MSF and being 24) for liability with me selecting better options.
Now I'm 25 and I've taken the MSF so those bastards better cut me a check.

Here in America if we have a vehicle on finance then yes, we too have to get full coverage.

One thing you all are failing to mention is that during the first 6 months of riding a bike (or having your M/C license) your insurance is going up because of thats the most often time that rookies have wrecks.

for my full comp. (0 deductable) 300,000 liability and unisured mine is 122$ a year thru nationwide. That is with the MSF and AMA discount.I'm also a "first time" licensed rider (still rode for 14 years tho.The nice thing about the msf and ama discount is they also applied that to my auto coverage....that dropped from 854 a year to 623 a year for full coverage with no deductable.
Take an MSF class and get your license from that...it's usually free and they provide a bike.you also get a discount...strongly advised...the experience from the class that is.
also you need to consider what state everyone is posting their rates from...every rate is gonna vary from state to state.
what are some new jersey rates???? they are insane for autos.

I have Progressive for the KLX. Live in CT and am 22 years old, single, no tickets. I'm payin $170 ayear(full collision), and they honored the MSF course. I think it was like a 10% discount. 10% isn't a a huge deal when your already payin under $200, but hey, every dollar counts....

$44.00 for each bike, so $88.00 total a yearfor $300,000 liability. Don't waste your money on full coverage. Just fix what gets broke.
Wow Deej, this post surprise's me...... no theft or collision on a bike you don't own yet...that does not seem like your personality.....ya bought four years of warranty right....insure those suckers.

Well in my case, if the bike gets stolen in my garage, it fully covered by my home owners policy, and if it gets stolen from the back of the truck then it falls under my truck insurance, which happens to be the same company. So why have double coverage when you can only pay one deductible anyway. As far as the collision, if I wreck and the bike gets totaled, I'll just be glad to be alive. Besides I'm too good of a street rider to ever wreck [sm=icon_quiet.gif] Oh and nobody steals here in pleasant ville

Umm...you could trash a bike offroad and walk away no problem, it's justpaying for four years warranty and not insurance that seems weird to me...........can't get a grip on it...lol ....no biggie.....btw bike thefts do not usually happen on your property.
