Look in the sticky thread 'pics of your bad azz klxs' its only about 90 pages but there are some in there. It doesn't look bad just afew minor areas where the plastic fitment isn't perfect. Doable for sure, if it was available in red I would have probably done it since it has been available from the get go for the 09s.

 

Mine showed up today. No issues on the install. Here are some photos comparing the two tanks. I ordered mine on the 9th at noon (Pacific). It supposedly shipped on Thursday and made it to Oregon today - UPS.

It would be great to see pics of a green and red klx with the IMS tank mounted up. Black and Natural tanks would be great..............

Got it today and installed tonight. Not real happy with the fitment of the shrouds first off.
I thought it could have been a better fit especially on the clutch side. I replaced the O ring as noted and the other O ring leaked. Probably because it was semi flat after being crushed for the length of time it was installed. i guess IMS could have spent another .25 and included 2 O rings. tomorrow i will fix it as i have an O ring set. After the install I think i would have been happier with a shroudless tank in 3.5 or 4 gal as the stock shrouds really don't do much.... Just my opinion and thats what forums are for!!!

 

Got the black tank today. Perfect fit, no leaks, great looks after install.. all I can say is ... WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW I love it.. yea yea yea yea woooohoooo nice fkn tank

 

anyone have the clear/ natural tank yet?

i like the idea of being able to see the gas level but using the trip meter for a gas guage hasn't failed me yet.

 

I ordered mine around 7:30PM on the 9th, and my credit card got charged today, so hopefully that means it shipped out today.

 

BTW, tank fits perfectly with TM36-68 pumper carb - no modification
