Iowaguy you've made your point and personally attacked/insulted nearly every member on this forum. You've had great service, and reliability from your pipe..................just like any other mass produced item, there are good ones and bad ones, looks like EMS's had a crappy coating job. I on the other hand have a used 300 headpipe and muffler, unpainted, uncoated and it came from a blown up 300............my pipe had a spot of rust on a weld seam on the can and its who knows how old and I only wash the bike when the plastic gets too dirty. So for a $400 "coated" exhaust to rust as early as his has, yeah I'd say thats a faulty product. [:'(]

Wait Iowa you said a hot pipe and cold water don't mix? BS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spray off my bike with cold water every time I get home, and the steam gives me a nice facial so that shoots that theory down in flames. What else you got? Ba Ba Ba Bring it!!! Or step off.

looks like your pipe hasn't been taken care of. you say you spray it when you get done riding. that's why it looks like it does. hot pipe and cold water don't mix. it may have surface rust on it, but to me it still looks 100% intact and fully functional. by the looks of your bike it doesn't seem like you'd care what your pipe looks like as it blends right in. anyways, you want a muzzy? here's the website:

I got the muzzy because it is all stainless and aluminum construction (boaters like that) and I occasionally run along the beach and intracoastal with salt water hitting everything...... pipe still looks new w/no rust and 3.8 k miles. btw I do not wash the bike as much as I should due to camping on the intracoastal....but I try.
However I'm no Deej ....... what's that steam facial like?
