Default Why is my fi 1500 not idling right

I have a 2000 Vulcan classic Fi...I have done all kinds of work to it... replaced front cam because it broke...new head ...2 cam chains..reverse starter clutch..any way..now the bike runs good..but the idle runs to high ...probably about 1000 rpm...but if you try to turn it down it goes real low and dies...there's no in between...somebody please tell me how to make it idle right
I don't have a tac so I don't know how fast it's idling...but I know I can idle at 40 mph in 3rd

You should post this in the VULCAN forum: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...motorbikes-10/
Your symptoms indicate that the carb may not be operating on the idle circuit or there is an air leak between the carb and head.

Good luck
