Default I need your opinion on seat foam hardness.

I am going to be ordering a tall seat kit and have been wondering if I should get the soft or medium foam hardness. The soft is supposed to be like the klx stock foam. I know that alot on here complain about the seat on the klx. I thought that I read on somewhere that a softer seat can sometimes make it worse. I was thinking that if the seat was taller the soft foam would just sink down more. I dont know if I should get the medium. Any opinions would be helpful.

Soft foam lets you sink to the seat pan and can make it difficult to scoot around. Harder foam will support you without letting you hit the pan and create a pressure point. Not a specialist, just observations I've made on a few different bikes. My dad's Corbin on his Magna is very very hard foam but its very supportive and I can ride it for hours. The KLX "seams" comfy based on the mush the seat test, but, sit down for 20 minutes and your tailbone is touching the seat pan.

i'd say go with the hard foam anticipating that it will soften up over time.
