Default I got the green machine a friend

I had just purchased a KTM 450 EXC for the KLX to play with. It's an awesome and very scary bike compared to the KLX, but the KLX definitely has it's advantages over the KTM. The KLX is much more comfortable and street able. The KTM's seat is like a rock compared to the KLX and in about 15 min of riding, your *** hurts like hell. As for the road, my KTMhas a $1200 after market suspension on it but I don't want to loosen the adjuster screws for street. This makes the bike bounce around off any imperfection of the road and catch air. Also, the sheer power of the motor makes it difficult to keep the front tire on the road. The motor of the KTM definitely has a unique ear wrenching sound. I had sold my KLX to my dad and I am in the process of showing him how to maintain, operate, and modify it. I am glad the KLX is still in my family, because I love the sound of the engine and the smooth comfortable ride of the KLX. The KLX is a much more all around bike than the KTM, but there is no way that any KLX is going to be able to keep up with my heavily modified KTM on the dirt. I don't mean to rag on the KLX, I just though I would share my review of both bikes. Here is a pic:

Nice bike(s). What year is the KTM? Here's a recent photo of mine:

Buttercups, anyone?

I just put on a Rekluse clutch, but I'm not sure I like it. I may go back to stock. Want to buy it, Tom? I'll make you a good deal. It's the Rekluse Z-start Pro.

That looks like a much more comfortable seat. Mine is an 03 not an 07. Check out NOST suspension. It's freeking awsome!

Nice bike Gomer! Great pics too.

The Renazco seat is the best I have seen for a KTM, I have the smooth leatheronmy SMC 625and I have about 1000 miles on it now and it is great! How is the suede holding up. It looks great!

It's an after market seat because the original sucked even more but it's still hard as a rock. When I switch from the KTM to the KLX, the KLX is like sitting on a recliner couch. It's nice to have both bikes to ride for this purpose. I'll have to look into the Renazco seat. Thanks for the tip.
