I am really starting to hate my city...

Maybe I'm just more observant of whats around me while I'm riding than you are, but I can spot the 5-0 from a mile away. Not really hard to be paying attention to your surrounds and spot things out of the ordinary/potential hazards... as well as the police.
And as i stated in my above post, there's a limit to everything, and being obnoxious is obviously going beyond that limit. Ride what you want, how you want, aslong as your not acting a fool about it.

I have gotten a few tickets in my lifetime, and thought everybody else did too. I may be wrong here too. ??
I shouldn't have assumed that you were less observant than me. I will let my advice stand for what I will guess is the other 99.9% of the motoring public.

I was on coast highway the other day at a light. The guy on a bike next to me decided to pop a wheelie on the green. He rode it for a few feet. Cop came after him. He came off a sidestreet. No chance of seeing him. Wrong place wrong time. Did he get a ticket because it was just his time or because he didn't see the cop? Sooner or later you get busted if you're doing something you shouldn't be. Keep your exposure low and you'll be looked over.
