A humble question.

Renthal CR High on my bike. Throttle cable gets a lil stuck if I move the handlebar all the way to the left. I still have to re-route it. For clutch, I am using KLX300 clutch cable. It's 2" longer than ours and it has the same fittings. Do a search here and you'll find the part number.

Haven't tried this. I'll try it this afternoon when it warms up. Also, when switching bars, I just ground off the "pegs" on the plastic switch housings. So, what limits my throttle rotation now, because the housing can spin now?

Can anyone clarify if the KLX300 clutch cable 54011-0009 is 2-inches longer than stock for which bikes? 2006/2007, 2009+, s and/or sf models?

If you go the custom cable route, Barnett like the clutch parts may be able to take care of you. I put taller (more upright) bars on on a suzuki bandit and they made the cables for me. Between 40-50$$ back before 2000.

Thanks for the advice, Steve. I sent Motion-Pro an email on a quote for price and we'll see how that turns out. Also, I'm going to try TNC's way of doing it first because it's free.

My housings don't have any pins anymore either. They clamp tight to the Renthal handlebar I have on my bike with just the screws in the housings...like most dirtbikes have done for many years.

Mine can spin a bit. I'll just layer some tape or rubber to make the bar a bit thicker and call her good. I don't know much about any type of bike, but it's great to know that dirt bikes have run this setup in the past. Sorry if these are stupid questions, I've just never done this before and don't want to mess it up with my backwoods engineering abilities.

No idea. I had that PN on a sticky note for my "shopping list".
