how can these be that cheap or are they just cheap

Ahhhh...Works Performance. I got them to make me a custom shock for my '85 KLX600. Man, that was a nice shock with a braided hose remote res. I took the internals out of another fork, and it eventually made a great working fork. The first gen KLX600 was lighter than the KLX650, as the 600 used the engine as a stressed member. It was during the height of my enduro circuit racing fame...LOL!...and I was able to ride that 600 almost like a real dirt bike. Works Performance made awesome shocks.
